Video Over IP Web Manager

VE(Video Extender) Manager is a control interface suitable for associated AV over IP products. It can be applied to cross-building scenarios such as airports, campuses, and control rooms. Through web control, administrators can control intuitively as they are on the spot.

Problem

The advantage of Video over IP is eliminating the distance limitations of AV cabling, enabling cross-floor AV control through network-based video transmission.Conversely, where users cannot see the on-site display, how can they deploy video sources in a simple and intuitive way?

Information Architecture

Even if the PM has listed the functional spec, still needs to organize the information architecture functions before entering into UI design.

I split the page into functions. In addition to making it easier to check, it is also easier to make annotations to discuss with RD or PM.

Takeaways

Designing for a B-end product often lacks direct user research. To understand real usage scenarios, I conducted extensive research on similar products, analyzed manuals, and reverse-inferred user needs from competitor features.

This helped uncover the context behind user behaviors and guided the design direction. I also focused on key touchpoints—from the web interface to hardware-software interactions—to enhance the overall user experience.
